Who we are
This site is operated by Vincent Schilling as a private, non-commercial project at https://taize.vincentschill.ing. Contact: taize@vincentschill.ing.
What we store
- No cookies, no tracking, no analytics.
- If you create a custom routine, we store the routine template and a random private token that identifies you. We do not store your IP address, email, or any personal identifiers.
- If you give explicit consent, we store your free-text reflections. These are special-category data under GDPR Art. 9 (religious belief). We only process them on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
- For abuse prevention we record a short-lived rate-limit counter per IP address (deleted after one hour).
Your private link
You are identified only by the random token in your URL. If you lose the link, we cannot recover your routine or answers. Treat it like a password: save it securely; do not share it.
Retention
If you do not open your private link for one year, we automatically delete your user record and all associated answers. You can delete everything at any time from inside your routine.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the private link is the only way to identify you, please include it when contacting us.
Third-party services
- Google Gemini API — We send Brother Matthew's daily prayer text to Google Gemini for text-to-speech. No personal data is ever sent.
- YouTube embeds — Taizé song audio is streamed from YouTube. YouTube may set its own cookies once you start playback; see YouTube's privacy policy.
- taize.fr — Our server fetches the public daily prayer page once per day.
